Our Food at Home

Hello, welcome back to another blog! Today I will talk about our meal plan system and and a few things we ate this week. Each week, my dad plans meals with Ainsley or me, as we alternate weeks for who gets to plan with him. We normally have 1 or 2 pork meals, 1 beef meal, 1 fish meal, and chicken or no protein for the rest. This week was my week! I have to admit that maybe I picked too many salads, but… oh well! I noticed that plans were deviated a lot more than I wanted, either because we didn’t have an ingredient or because we had salad the night before. So first, we pick dinners, using the criteria of what source of protein. Normally we look on the F45 exercise plan recipes first because they are very nutritious. Here is the link, but you need an account to look at the recipes, sadly. You can create an account for free though! Here’s the link if you are interested: https://f45challenge.com/

Second, we use google. Lunches for my sister and me are normally help yourself but my parents use the F45 website for food.

Here were this week’s meals:

Monday: Blueberry Yogurt (F45), Red Curry Chicken (for the parents), Asian Chicken Lettuce Salad Cups

Tuesday: Creamy Pesto Eggs Benedict, Unknown Lunch, Chicken Salad of some sorts

Wednesday: Chia Peanut Butter Yogurt (F45), Unknown, Crispy Sweet Potato and Avocado Chicken Salad

Thursday: Low Carbohydrate Blueberry Muffins, Avocado and Chicken Caprese Salad (from Pinterest https://pin.it/4MmR5EG for all family members) Turkey and Pasta for my sister and me

Friday: Banana Cacao yogurt for adults and pick your own for my sister and me, grilled cheese for my sister and me, orange salmon

Saturday: Bruschetta (Basically pizza) with tomato mushroom base and eggs Benedict, Goat Cheese and Walnut Salad, Pizza

Sunday: Pancakes (Bisquick for my sister and me and F45 healthy pancakes for the parents), unknown lunch, Pulled Pork

Here’s the thing. We wrote all our recipes on a chalk board and I erased as we went, so I couldn’t read some of them. Sorry! The F45 recipes are decent for really healthy food, but I’m sort of adjusted to it by now if I’m being honest. I do recommend the F45 system if you are trying to get fit, but the recipes take some getting used to. It’s been about 3 months of us eating the F45 recipes, so, I can eat vegetables comfortably. Honestly, I like sweet potatoes more than normal potatoes now (but that’s for a separate blog 😉 )

Thank you for reading and please share this blog so people can see my blog! Also comment or contact me ideas of new blog posts so I can do it more frequently and please like and follow this post and blog! See you next time!

How much fun you and your family are having during this challenging time ! The menu planning sounds amazing . You are using all resources available. Must be keeping Dad and Mom in the kitchen doing prep and cooking..ha ! You four will be so fit and healthy. A great example for “some” of us who are busy baking banana bread and choc chip cookies ! Wish you were here to eat them. Keep up the great & fun work ! love ya, LG
