Chopped

Today I am going to talk about the tv show called Chopped. My family loves this show. The base of the show is there are 4 chefs competing for the prize. They have to make three dishes: appetizer, entree, and dessert in three different rounds with several mystery ingredients. The judges taste it and “chop” someone each round who had the worst dish.

At home, my family and I play a version of this. We do one round of appetizer, entree, or dessert with three mystery ingredients. We don’t have a prize other than pride though. We have to be creative, make the dish look appealing, and make it taste good. You can use any ingredients from around the house that don’t go together. For example don’t use apples and peanut butter because they go together easily. Instead, do apples and broccoli perhaps.

I highly suggest you watch this show with your family and play the fun family version at home! Thanks for reading! Please comment any ideas you have for future posts and any questions you might have.

  1. Great job, Maddie ! You certainly described “Chopped” and your home version. You four must come up with some very unique dishes ! Do you take turns between you and Ainsley and your parents…or just you girls ? Love your blog ! Don’t forget to continue on your travels when you can !
