Ireland: Days 1-3

Last spring break I went to Ireland and I want to share my experience with you. The first night, I went to the 814 Bar. The mood is a bit fancy for a bar, but the food is definitely comfort. They have great service and great food. I got calamari which was very deliciously fried and not very fishy. The ribs were good, and the fries were too spicy to me. It also has a kids menu so if you don’ t think your kids will like anything on the adults menu they have a basic one with a burger, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, and other normal kids menu items.

The next night I went to the 814 Restaurant, which is a bit more formal then the bar but appropriate for a restaurant. I got the goat cheese tart which had lots of flavor but difficult flavors and textures for young people and a bit on the sweet side. It also had the same kids menu as the 814 Bar which was a little disappointing. They also had delicious bread. Yes, I am talking about the bread. The white bread was a bit too dry for me, but the brown one was so flavorful and moist. The steak was overall delicious and best with the sauce it came with. It came with a potato cake and was also good but dry and definitely needed the sauce as well. I tried a bite of my parents and sister’s dishes and the chicken was very flavorful, especially for chicken, and perfect with all the things on the plate together. The lamb was very gamy but flavorful. I wouldn’t suggest the lamb for kids. The chicken strips off the kids menu is very crispy and tender which I liked. There was also desert, so of course you know I’ll get some. We got the brownie and raspberry blondie. The brownie was good individually but was best with the ice cream and sauce. The blondie was more like a cake and not a blondie and was better individually.

The third night I went to Kittyhawks. It had a great atmosphere for a bar. The wings had good meat but too spicy for my taste so it would be better without the seasoning. The waiters were very slow but the food finished preparation very quickly.

Thank you for listening to my experience in Ireland and I will leave the link to their websites down below.
