Fun Cooking Activities at Home

Due to the situation because of corona-virus, a lot of people will spend a lot of time at home. I thought that I could bring light to it with some fun family games at home.

Again I will bring up my favorite activity related to cooking when guests are over or if my sister and I want to: Chopped! I did another post on this a while back but I am just going to summarize it: There are a few chefs who get a few ingredients and have to use them and any other ingredients to make a dish. The worst dish, in the judge or judges’ opinion is “chopped”. I just love this game and you can do it with whatever food you have at home.

Another game is guess the spice/food. Someone is blindfolded and tries to guess what spice or food they are smelling. They get a point if they guess right. I love the smell of spices so I think this would be fun.

I sort of ran out of ideas for games, so you could just….. bake or cook! You could make cookies and try to see who decorates them the best. You could see who makes the best dinner (fun if the parents don’t feel like making dinner 🤣)

If you have any more ideas for cooking games when you are stuck at home, comment them down below and I’ll compile them for a part two with actually decent ideas. Please share this blog and follow! See you next time!

  1. 1. Papa suggest you bake something with a surprise inside
    2. Papa also suggests you make a cake in the shape of a country. You start with a sheet cake and cut out the shape and frost
    3. Papa is in a roll. A green cookie or cake for st Patrick. He was a remarkable man of God
    4. I love to make creme brûlée. It’s actually quite easy
    5. Have you ever made dirt cake. Pudding with crushed Oreos on top and gummy worms
    6. Finally I made cheese it’s from just cheese. Cut sliced cheddar into small squares and bake for 35 minutes at 250.
