Bavet: A New Way to Eat Pasta in Brussels

This weekend I went to Brussels for a swim meet and we had pasta the night before the race because it was the only place that would take us. Here I am going to review their food.

It was good, and I liked that we could pick our portion sizes. I had Bavet sauce and it had a very unique flavor. It didn’t really…

Note: the Bavet sauce was basically Bolognese.

We got to pick our sauce, what kind or if we wanted cheese, and some toppers like meatballs and bacon. We also could choose if we wanted mouse (smallest portion for smaller people or appetite), dog (normal adult portion) or horse (huge bowl for huge appetites).

It was good.

It is a great place for large parties or groups, but in my opinion not for going out for another reason with less people. You can make spaghetti at home for less and still taste really good.

Another funny thing was they gave you bavets, like a bib so your shirt didn’t need to get dirty. That is the main concept of this restaurant.

It was really good. More cheese!

Super great.

Overall it was good but they need better names for the portions. Yummy!

  1. MJ, Your review just cracks me up ! Love the varied comments by fellow diners. What…no one had “mussels in Brussels” ? The pasta dishes sounded delicious and varied. Keep up your great work !
