Egyptian Food

Hi, guys! This winter break I went to Egypt and it was incredibly stunning. We had a lot of Egyptian food and I am going to share my favorites.

  • Tahini- a sesame seed and oil sauce to dip your pita in. It tastes like what’s in it, olive oil and sesame seed.
  • Falafel- a ball of fried puréed chickpeas. A bit oily, but the flavor is delicious. A little bit of earthiness and the rest is a vegetable taste.
  • Ful- Lentils that were slow cooked with spices puréed. It sort of looks like chili and the taste was similar.
  • Koshery- pasta, chickpeas, fried onions, and rice together with sauce. It sounds really random and weird but somehow the flavor and textures work together well!
  • Thank you for reading and to spread awareness of my blog please share it to others, like this post, and subscribe to my blog. See you next time!
